Ada is the result of a dream and passion for sailing of Captain Ernesto. After a long search for the right sailboat. He was walking thorough the dry marina in Puerto Vallarta named Opequimar and found his “Destiny”.

Ernesto had the vision of Destiny but she was a boat in disrepair and in need of a lot of tender loving care. Ada was originally named Destiny but after some years of a painstaking restoration process to bring Destiny to her originally beauty and Bristol condition, Captain Ernesto was also caring for his mother who was fighting cancer.

Ada is Ernesto’s mother and she was one of the few people who believed in his dream. As his dream became reality and with the passing of his beloveds mother, he knew he had to change Destiny to Ada in her loving memory.
